Austrian Horse Grenadiers

After months of waiting (My painting slot pecking order) the horse grenadiers have arrived. Am I pleased.....Yes, most definitely, DJ has done a wonderful paint job on these figures.

Remember, the Austrian fur caps were of two varieties, with and without front plate. I am usually reasonable flexible when it comes to certain elements of historical uniform correctness, but with the fur caps I have definitely complied with the written rules for the 'ad hoc' unit raised.

 

The figures are currently being based and I am sure they will soon be involved in my campaign. Today, the Austrian garrison at Schweidnitz surrendered after 8 days. The siege event cards put together have really worked well, most pleased. As I said in a previous post WE hope to create PDF's following the events.
